Spatial Odysseys: mutual bloom edition is een speciale tentoonstelling, samengesteld door Catalina Reyes Navarro, artist-in-residence bij Club Raum. Deze editie nodigt ons uit om deel te nemen aan Catalina's onderzoek naar de nachtclub als een ruimte van transformatie, verval en regeneratie, waar clubcultuur samensmelt met ecologische verbeelding.
De geselecteerde werken gaan over thema's als de vergankelijkheid van de clubnacht als een zelfvoorzienend ecosysteem. Hoe het publiek samensmelt en op een dieper niveau verbonden lijkt zoals organismen in een kleine biotoop. Reyes Navarro maakt vergelijkingen met meer-dan-menselijke werelden – variërend van de intelligentie van schimmels tot geologische ritmes en elementaire krachten. Sculpturaal, abstract of atmosferisch, de werken vinden hun eigen plek in specifieke zones binnen de architectuur van de club en worden onderdeel van de levende anatomie.
De tentoonstelling draait om Catalina Reyes Navarro's onderzoek tijdens haar residentie bij Club Raum. De tentoonstelling is bedoeld als een groepstentoonstelling in dialoog met haar afstudeerproject en brengt werken samen die reflecteren op wat een ecosysteem kan zijn. Dit omvat perspectieven geïnspireerd door natuurlijke systemen zoals planten, schimmels, micro-organismen, weerpatronen en andere levende processen. De club wordt een plek waar natuurlijke en kunstmatige systemen elkaar ontmoeten, waar ritmes, verbindingen en transformaties plaatsvinden.

Spatial Odysseys: mutual bloom edition is a special exhibition curated alongside the presentation of Catalina Reyes Navarro, artist-in-residence at Club Raum. This edition invites us to engage with Catalina’s research into the nightclub as a space of transformation, decay, and regeneration, where club culture merges with ecological imagination.
The selected works respond to themes such as the ephemerality of the club night as a self-sustaining ecosystem; symbiotic thinking and mutual entanglement; and more-than-human worlds—ranging from the intelligence of fungi to geological rhythms and elemental forces. Sculptural, abstract, or atmospheric, the works inhabit specific zones within the club’s architecture, becoming part of its living anatomy.
The exhibition revolves around Catalina Reyes Navarro’s research during her residency at Club RAUM. Conceived as a group show in dialogue with her final project, it brings together works that reflect on what an ecosystem can be. This includes perspectives inspired by natural systems such as plants, fungi, microorganisms, weather patterns, and other living processes. The club becomes a place where natural and artificial systems meet, where rhythms, connections, and transformations take place.
